Well first real ride in the woods with the Teryx , and I have the typical busted passenger floor board!

Driving though a water hole at about a snail crawl and all of a sudden... Sounded like a 30-06 going off in the cab! I look down and had a baseball sized hole between the footrests!

Anyone have any luck finding aftermarket guards? Or pics of custom made ?

I found some inner fender guards for the 2seater ,but nuttin for the 4.

Show us your Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks "OOPS!!!"
What are we talking about?: We've all done it to some extent whether we'll admit it or not.... We've... forgot to fill our gas tank before a long trip and ended up taking a "lovely" hike home. We've parked "conveniently" on top of a rock just large enough to lift all 4 tires off the ground. We've shown off our UTV's new skid plates by "casually" tipping it onto its side and we've had fun "playing tag" with a fair number of trees that never chase back.... We're all experienced one shape or form of an "oops" and maybe it was our first but it certainly won't be out last.

So, we want to see what you or your buddy's "OOPS" from the 2013 Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks event. We're looking for pictures and/or videos of your "OOPS" and a brief description of what happened. We're going to compile our top 10 entries and include them in an article on our blog.

How to submit your entry: If you would like to to submit an entry please PM us a link to your picture or video or email it to forums@discounttire.com with subject line "Discount Tire ROTR OOPS!". Please include the date and general location of the incident, your contact information, and a brief story of what happened.

What could you WIN?: If we feature your entry in our article you will not only receive bragging rights among all of your friends but you will be entered into a random drawing to win a Discount Tire backpack full of swag. 1 lucky entry will win.

Rules: Submissions must be PG13 and may not include anything illegal. Please remember to tread lightly and be respectful of others. Submitter must have full rights to use of content and must allow Discount Tire to distribute and share it. There is no limit to the number of submissions you can send in but all submissions must have occurred in Moab during the week of the 2013 Discount Tire Rally on the Rocks in Moab, UT (May 12th-May19th, 2013). Deadline for submissions is May 24th.

Though this can be off-roading at its best, there is one small nasty side to the mud riders' lifestyle when you realize you have not prepared properly for the big ride. Usually this fact rears its ugly head when ego overruns ability and you find yourself stuck or broken down.

As we have learned from participating in the awesome fun of mud riding, some things just need to be done to the ride you depend on if you want to make it out the other side.

I am working on a 2008 Teryx 750. My friend said it would only go approx., 30 mph, and it only has 100 hrs on it. I test rode it and sure enough,,,,, 30 mph! I have checked the valve clearance, cleaned the carbs, sync'ed and adjusted idle mixture, removed the exhaust, checked the air filter and fuel filter, fuel vent, vacuum lines.... I checked to make sure the vacuum pistons in both carbs are functioning properly and I even checked to make sure the pedal/ throttle cable is opening the butterfly's fully. I do not have a tachometer to check top RPM in neutral but I have held the throttle wide open and the engine rev's to a fairly high rpm and runs smooth when held at full throttle. Shouldn't they have a rev limiter??? I would assume if held wide open they should reach high RPM and cut out or miss and NOT run smoothly... Any help on this machine would be greatly appreciated!!!! Just about at my wits end.......

I just recently bought my 2012 T4 and I am looking to upgrade the tires and wheels. I am looking to go around the 27" range so I don't have to put a lift on it. I am leaning toward 14" wheels just because they look a lot better to me. I will be trail riding and hitting some mud holes every now and then. I am riding mainly in TN and KY. Im looking at a 1000 dollar budget, and would love to know of any place offering military discounts or any other type of good deal. The tires I have looked at so far have been the original bighorns and I was recommended STI Roctane's. I previously had 27" Zillas on my Brute Force but I don't know how they would hold up with the extra weight. I'm open to suggestions because there seems to be an incredible amount of options. Thanks for your help.
