Default Need HELP BAD

Ok so here is the deal. I was getting the Teryx ready for this weekend. It was a mess from the last mud we had here so I had pulled the seats and everything to get it all cleaned out. Washed it outside the garage pulled it back into the garage. I started it today to change the oil and it happened. It ran for about 1 minute then quit. I keep blowing the main fuse 30 amp. As soon as I turn the key on it blows. Where should I be looking to fix this any ideas help me please.

So no luck finding an exposed wire? Something appears to be shorting out like I said. What about the CDI, can you remove the plugs and ensure no water is in there?

OK OK, That was uncalled for. (but still kinda funny ) It must be electrical in nature. I strongly suggest going over every single electrical connection and squirting dialectric grease in every connection. Must be a short from water...

You would think in AZ right now it'd dry in a few minutes though..

Ya that is why I am wondering if it is water stuck in the CDI plugs or something along those lines

YEah I am going to get some dialectric grease and you are right that was funny and I am still laughing. I would hope it would dry out also but not happening. I just pulled the cdi connections and no water there. I am at a loss and not quite sure where to start but I am going to sleep on it and if all else fails stay home this weekend.

Ok I am no electrical guy so I don't know if this helps. I pull the 30 amp fuse and check the fuse holder with a test light. I am getting power to the outside connection point on the fuse holder if that makes any sense. This is with the key off I am thinking my problem should be in this circuit somewhere but not sure where to start looking any help or am I screwed.

I have read about a similar sounding problem. It turned out to be a bad carb temp sensor. The carb temp sensor is that thin black "module" about 3/4" square with 3 wires connected to it under the drivers seat. The problem with that module going bad may be related to the recall of the carb heater ground. Take the rubber boot off of it and look at it maybe..

It's just a guess, but worth checking out?

Good luck man.

Can you tell if it is bad by just looking at it? I will check it out tomorrow and call the dealership thanks.
