Default windshield mounting

Just got my Teryx and it is cold here. I was going to make me a windshield but I cannot find any clamps to mount it with. I am looking for any suggestions on what to use to mount it with.

thanks

You are going to need something to support the windshield across it as it will bow badly if you don't.

Maybe HW could sell a DIY windshield kit. Sell you everything but the vent and windshield itself that goes with our windshield.

Just beware any plastic material you buy will get fine scratches in it from even paper towels and most of it is not optical grade so even from the start it won't be as clear as it can be. Also don't use anything but soap and water on it. Windex can turn acrylic yellow and make poly (lexan) brittle.

I know our windshields seem expensive but what makes it that way is the windshield itself. First it is optical grade poly then the coating we put on it, it does not come with the coating from the factory. We apply it then back it on then route it out. Now you can clean it with gas and steel wool if you want to.

Not trying to sell you windshield here just making you aware that you may spend $100 to $150 on what you are doing and in no time you won't be able to see thru it very well then wind up buying a manufactured windshield so it winds up costing you way more.

Just an idea.

I made a windshield and it does bow, but it does not bother me. It works very well. I made it out of 2 peices since I could get small peices for hardly nothing. If it gets scratched too bad i will just buy a couple more small peices. the bottom is only about 6" high and I painted it black on the back side and I will leave it on in the summer. I would post a photo but I do not know how. I did post one for the contest last month but my son did it for me.

By the way Hunterworks a windsheild kit is a great idea. I would have bought one. I live in a small town and had a difficult time finding some suitable clamps. I finally ordered them from Fastenal. I did use all stainless steele hardware to prevent rust.

You can google (rubber coated pipe clamps) you will find more than you can shake a stick at, you will need one that is like 1.875 for your teryx stock cage there are many styles and they are cheap.
