I'm sure some of you have seen this before but here it is again for those that have not. You can cut the hood on the side in order to make the removal much easer. We then used Zuse fasteners to hold it all together. With this set up you do not need to take the cage off but you still need to take out all the dash screws for removal. It is handy for after market cages that have the lower cross bar and extra down bar protection

I have a post about installing the stock Teryx gauge panel and I have pics showing how to hold the plastic up. Just use a tie down strap hooked over the top of the roll bar and hook it on the front of the nose. when you take off all the screws over the dash and around the headlight area(just diconnect the headlight wires they stay with the body), be sure take the clips off the dash and squeeze them together. I didn't and when I put the body back on and had most of the screws back in place one of the clips slid off and I had to take the hood off to get the clip back in place. It really is very easy just watch the clips..............

its no big deal to take the cage off..theres 8 19mm bolts and i think two 13 or 14 mm blts holdin the seat belt on to the cage. just snap the lil black cap over and take the bolts out of the seat belt. im 16 and had the hod off in less than 15 mins. on the headlights theres two bolts that hold the front of the hood down....one that goes in from the bottom and one that goes in fromt he side....dont pull the hood up and tie it up...its just as easy to take it all off

Keep in mind my friend that a lot of us have 4 seat cages, some (like myself) have wiring running throughout for speakers, lighting, etc.
To your point though, the factory cage is not all that difficult to remove ![]()

Just remove the screws at the top of the dash and two screws on each side of the teryx. Then take two bolts out below each head light, and unplug the head lights. The hood can be lifted up and supported by a strap or broom stick.
It only takes a few minutes to pull the hood, but it may take up to a half hour to reinstall it. I had problems getting my screws to line back up while re-installing the hood. Make sure not to loose any of the little metal clips that the screws go into. I personally would not remove the cage. You can remove the hood by yourself, but would have to envite some friends over to get the cage off. |

Well yes, that is an option as well...putting quick disconnects in (which I did)
Granted removing a four seat cage is not a job for one person. I get what you are saying though my friend.
