Question Pulling the hood

Im gonna be pulling the hood up on the rex to install the winch remote hookup and a RAM gps mount and was wondering what the procedure is?

Without actually doing it I am not sure I am the best source, however, pull the cockpit screws and see what else is needed...it is possible that after pulling those the hood should swing up forward.

I am not totally sure, so be careful not to damanage anything. I can look tomorrow for you though.

you will have to take off the roll cage to get the hood off. bummer! dont forget to take the headlights out if you want the hood completely off.

Well if you want to take it completly off you do but you can lift it off and support it with a strap. I decided to mount the winch controller in a differant location that was better.

here is a pic of how I mounted the controller and gps mount..

I am going to experience the removal of the hood in the next few days to install the dash kit and Trail Tech Vapor for the build. I am hoping that I can tie the hood up somehow, otherwise, guess the cage needs to come off

Just took a peek at the manual and you can support that hood from the top of the roll bar in the pics,no need to remove the cage.

Interesting, the manual talks about supporting the hood at the top of the cage. Very cool!
