jsut went out and hooked a hose to a funnell and then to the carbs to gravity feed them and bypass everything and it will sit there and run fine! i took the fuel filter off and hooked that line directly to the fuel pump and still cant get gas to the carbs.so its either the fuel pump or the line going into the tank.how does that plug come out of the tank.ive tried prying on it a little but dont want to break it

Did you figure out precisely what was causing your trouble PJ? How did you finally fix it?

His fuel pump had went out on him magellen. He got it back going.

had to overnight one from a dealer about 45 minutes away so i could make my dune trip.ran 150 miles at the dunes wfo with no problems!

I wonder what would cause the pump to crap out that early?Have you ran it on empty verry often?Any other ideas

its never been on empty,as w/o a fuel gauge i always fill it up before every ride.the diaphram inside the pump came apart.faulty pump

i'm having similar problems with starting. Once it starts it runs fine for a little while then it will die. How can i verify if the fuel pump is bad?

get a funell with a hose on it and hook it to the carbs and put some gas in the funell and let the motor run off of that.how long will yours run before it dies?
