Default Discussion Topic For Unisteer Performance Power Steering Kit

Unisteer Performance has been kind enough to supply us with their power steering kit for use on our Teryx build.

We are very excited to be working with them and are anxious to get the kit installed on the machine.

You can check out the Unisteer Performance website at:

Unisteer Performance Products

Installation will be featured on the TeryxHQ Teryx build page while discussions will take place in this thread. If you have questions, comments, etc. please feel free to post them in this thread.

I am pleased to announce that the power steering unit was installed today.

In theory, the installation is quite simple...in reality, not so much.

The tolerances are very tight and there is not a lot of room to work in, thus making lining up the splines quite the task.

However...

Did a quick test run around the block and let me tell you this upgrade is awesome! Night and day difference, no more fighting the wheel to turn, it is just like driving a car. Definately a great upgrade, cannot wait to try it in the real world, completely worth all the effort to get the kit installed

Now in all fairness, I am sure that if this was something you installed more than once, you may learn some tips and tricks to make things easier, but for the first timer, take your time and don't get frustrated, you will get it!

I agree 100% DP. The install was harder than any I have done to date, but the rewards are priceless. I LOVE my power steering. I had the brain box go out on mine a few weeks ago during a ride and it was horrible going home, I had to slow way down. Unisteer is replacing it under warranty no problem.

Ya I have to admit, I was really amazed...I guess I just did not know what to expect, I thought at the very least you would here the assist while turning or something. but that is not the case.

Cannot wait to really get a chance to use it!

As you guys know, we not only sell them but use them. I run one on my race Rhino and it has been flawless and absolutely a must for racing.

Absolutly the shizznit .

One piece of advise is to keep it dry at all the connections. We run them on the race cars ,indestructable so far . A must when you run 1 turn lock to lock steering
