what is this about the timing being retarded under 5mph? mine seems to have a miss until about 6 or 7mph...is this what it is? it also smells very rich on the bottom end...

It is not a retard it just won't advance past 10 degrees until you reach 5 mph. The CDI gets a reading off the speed sensor.

An aftermarket CDI will take care of that. Also our carb/air intake kit which has been popular with members here fixes your carb issues too.

Most vehicles are rich from the factory because of reliability. Kinda doubt the timing has anything to do with your rich issue.

i found the problem...the choke for the front cylinder was sticking...all is well now...
