I'm getting a SDR +6 long travel kit. I want to run 8" douglas wheels and 26x10x12 paddles and smoothies. Fullerton sand sports said douglas makes a 3-5 offset or a 5-3 offset. They said the 5-3 offset will not clear unless I run a spacer. Tim at SDR said 3-5 offset will make the front wheels push. What offset are you guys running? Thanks

I happen to be running a 5+2 offset and have no problems...I suppose that depending on the design of the arms, it would potentially be an issue. Tim is a great guy and knows his stuff, so I wonder if it has to do with his arm design.
I will give him a call tomorrow to discuss some more. Now the one issue I did have with my 5+2 wheels is that they are a dual beadlock, so the ring actually made the diameter of the inside of the wheel smaller. 5+2 I believe is a stock offset though, so I am not sure why you would have problems as you are only widening the outside of the wheel with 5+3.

Ok it does appear we have a problem with 5+x offsets. Now I am not thinking that this will effect all wheels, however, in my case, being a dual beadlock wheel this is a problem. Seeing as the inside diameter of the wheel is smaller than that of a normal 14" wheel, I will not clear the balljoint bolt as it sits right now. The 5+x offset will work in the rear, however, it appears that for the fronts, you will need a 4+x offset (atleast in my case)

OK so i guess the 5+3 will not work. Who on here is running the 3+5 with long travel? Douglas is making some 4+4 wheels. Do you guys think I should wait for those or get the 3+5?
