The vehicle sucks at turning. I think a limited slip rear differential will help. Not sure if one in the rear will be fine or if i need one in the front too.
Where do I go to buy one?
Will it help?
Any other ideas to make it turn easier?
I purchased a used 2010 Teryx 750, I'm guessing it has full time locker in the rear from what I am reading. Where can I purchase a limited slip differential so I can stop tearing up my yard when I'm turning around. Or is there a different solution someone can tell me about here? The handle by the shifter is for the front differential correct?
Don't know how to correct it but yes the lever to the left of the shifter is for the front differential only. I wish they did come with a manually locking rear too!
The rear differential in the teryx can't be changed to an open differential because the rear brake is built into the differential. The rear brakes wouldn't work without the posi rearend. I have not found a utv with a lockable/unlockable diff in both ends. I looked seriously at the Mule-PRO-FXT before buying my 2015 teryx 4, but couldn't live without the front locker. Tires make a big difference, I had ITP Terra Cross tires on my 2010 with the after market back seat and I have Kanati mongrels on the 2015. The mongrels don't tear up the grass or gravel drive as bad as the Terra Cross didn't.
I've been reading a bit on the Can Am machines and it looks like they may have select able locking differentials front and rear. I think they are normally front wheel drive too.
