Default Seat Belts

I am planning on ordering seat belts but there are so many options out there. What kind are people running and what do you like and dislike about the belts you are running. I am leaning towards the 4 point harness but could be talked into something different if it is better. I don't plan on racing other than just fun races but do like to ride hard and on the edge from time to time. Thanks for everyones input.

Default seat belts

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. With the great info on this forum and the guys at PDS, we went with the Crow 4 point harnesses(2" in the rear for kids)

I have seen other harnesses that don't allow you to use just the lapbelts because the shoulder straps are pre-sewn together. We do a lot of light trail riding so this is a very comfortable feature. I also like how the Crow belts have a sewn in pad. These are top notch.

I've got 4 point Crows and I like them so far. The only part is you can't have the shoulder straps to tight because it will pull up the lap part to your chest cause there isn't a 5th point to keep it down. Other then that, they are comfortable and get the job done.

I'm having beard seats installed with seat belt extender brackets made by beard. They bring the seat belt mount forward which suppose to keep lap belt from riding up. Haven't got the Teryx home yet to check it out.

I've got the exact same thing. Beard seats with the brackets and it will still ride up. Not as much but it will do it. You get used to it pretty quickly so its not much of a problem.

I personally like the 4 points better than the 5 points, especially if you are not racing. It is plenty secure and I do like how the 5 points feel. Definitely get the ones with the pads sewn in. 3" up front and 2" in the rear. I have DJ Safety and like them. I also like the Crows.

I put in my new seats yesterday and used Crow 4 point belts with the sewn in pads, and 2 inch 4 point for the rear seat, very comfortable. as for the shoulder belts pulling up the lap belts, you really need to crank down the laps extra hard and then tighten up the shoulders, at least it works for me.

I put the DJ Safety in the front and will be putting them in the back. Check out the cage and bumper I just got as well. Made by OTR Fabwerks. They have been making cages, etc for jeeps and I am the first to get their new Teryx 4 seat cage. They will be making 2 seaters as well. Should have one next week. Much more reasonably prices than other cage builders
