Default Honda Big Red - UTV

So I am curious what will come of the new Honda Big Red. I am sure they have received a lot of feedback due to the way the machine looks, not very appealing.

Nonetheless, I am sure they will not have a hard time selling it due to the fact that it has the name Honda on it. Lets face it, when it comes to ATVs, Honda truly does know what they are doing...then add in their expertise in the automotive arena and they could potentially have a really nice UTV. I do believe they are going more for the utility market versus the sport, however, I will really be interested to see what happens.

What do you all think?

i really dont like the look, and agree with you about shooting for the utility market more than sport. with the background honda has in motorsports i expected alot more, but honda really hasn't done anything new for awhile there just trying to keep up.

Figure it will be a typical Honda. No Power, no front locker, but will be dependable and probably ride nice. And will win the UGLIEST Front Clip award.

Seriously, I am thinking the powerplant and all that will be just fine...but someone really needs to revisit the clay and come up with some different plastics.

I really like Hondas, I think they do some great work and their machines are top-notch, I just think they really need to step back and take another stab at the design.

Honda in my opinion is like Pioneer in the old days top notch and then junk. I think they are way behind in everything they do. With that said I think they are trying to get back on board with their new 700 quad but they missed the boat with the big red.

I do not know, but yikes. Seriously, does this even look like a cutting edge design? They are going to need to do something to enter the industry this late...what separates them from the others?

Quad Magazine did a test on the new 700XX. Same ol Honda...Total lack of power compared to the Raptor, but the odd thing was that it rode rough. Usually Honda has the plushest ride. THe motor that the Big Red is running is the 686 that the Rincon has. IT is well underpowered compared to the other BIG class ATVs. With the extra weight of the Side by Side, will be a real dog.

Honda 4x4 quads have always been junk. Sure they last a long time but they are so rough you can't go 1/2 the speed as any other quad through the rough ground. Without diff-lock and low range and low ground clearance their quads are always stuck on the other side of the mude hole. I can't see this thing being any better....but there are those brain washed HONDA GUYS who will buy it just because of the name.
