benifit Poker Run Saturday 6-14

Hi everyone,

Co-workers of a 28 year veteran of the Arizona Department of Corrections who recently lost his right leg in a racing accident are putting together a Poker Run to show support and help him out a bit with expences. This is one of those guys who has always been the first to help out everyone else. If anyone is interested, you are more than welcome to come along. It will be a little south of Florence in some high desert that is off the beat'in path.

Here is what the event organizers provided me....

Meet at the Funky Monkey bar in Florence at 8:00 am. The bar is on Hwy 79 about 3/4 a mile south of the only red light. The start of the run will be just off the 96 ranch road about 15 miles south of the Funky Monkey...the entry fee is 25.00 which will include lunch after the run. We will also be having extra fund raising events on the course .. the first event will be shooting a empty beer can down range with a 22 cal. rifle (which will be provided) the person who nocks the can farthest down range will split the pot 50/50...the other is shooting a open sight 22 cal rifle at a target and the person closest to center will then split that pot 50/50...both these event will be 3 dollars each. And finally at the end of the run you will be able to better your hand by shooting a 22 cal handgun at playing cards and using that card to replace one that you have drawn at the final check in table...(3 Dollars) all guns and ammo will be provided.
