Sure Power 1314 Smart Charge

A few guys have used this, I bought one but have not yet installed it. I was going to use the factory battery and an Optima in mine. The idea with the sure power solenoid is it keeps the main battery at around 13.2V then will charge the secondary, when the main drops to 12.8v it cuts out the charge to the secondary until the main comes up. Also, if the main is too low to start, it will connect the secondary to the main to assist in the starting power. I have not yet used it and mine is still in the box, but this is how I understand it works. Here is the link:

http://www.surepower.com/pdf/separatorinterconnect.pdf

I am sure someone else has some ideas on its use.

You can go larger but it will never get it fully topped off... There is only so much that the stock stator can do so a battery charger will work fine.

Use two 925's with a good isolator and you will be fine.

Hey Junior, which model did you go with on the seperator? I see they have 3 different 100A 12v setups.

1314 Battery seperator, uni-directional w/aux start
1315 Battery seperator, bi-directional w/aux start

and

3104 12v 300A interconnect / controller

I have to get one for myself and another for a buddies RAZR fairly soon.

I got the 1314 from The Part Counter, Chris ordered it in for me, 1 day away. Just ask him for a SurePower 1314, tell him it is the same one that I got.

Welcome to my life haha, sucks doesn't it??? I have although got some wrench time in lately, been in the shop every night since last week tearing my truck apart, not much left of it right now lol. I am throwing some injector tips in and valve springs before I do the compound turbo setup, I had to tear it down to check everything after I froze it up. Almost looks like I have a dead or partially dead cylinder so I am going to have to drop the pan and yank #6 to check the rings :S but it's 90% there anyway and it's only one piston lol.
