4wd and 2wd light.

Want to go ahead and say thanks for any input on this subjuect.

I have just rode the machine very little and didn't notice this when i was test driving it. When you riding it the buttton is in 2wd but it flickers on the dash between 2wd and 4wd and you can tell that is in 4wd but is should be in 2wd when the machine is in 2wd. When i push the button to put it in 4wd it doesn't go right away. Didn't know if their could be a loose connection somewhere or switch i could check. I'm new to the sidexside world have always had 4wheelers my life. Please tell somethings i could check. Thanks again.

I would have to check this out in the Service Manual on the teryx but when it flashes back and forth it is a code for either the actuator on the front diff or clutch. Of course the Teryx does not have one on the front diff.

As far as it not going right in, you have to be moving.

Also, both issues might simply be resolved by a adjustment on the cable

Todd

Service manual not owners. You can download one from tradebit.com for less than $10

My 2009 NRA would not actuate between 2WD and 4WD properly. Once I found where the front linkage entered the transfer case I gave it a good dose of WD-40 while repeatedly operating the switch and assisting the linkage by hand. Took care of my issue.
