I 've got a hood that comes off w/o removing roll cage!

Well, not the whole hood, but the center section at least.

I have a Maier three piece hood like this:

I thought it would be great to at least be able to take the center section off so I could get behind the dash. Unfortunately, Maier provides bolts with washers and lock nuts and the top two bolts on each side are not reachable behind the firewall.

When removing my hood about a month ago, I figured that I would try to get some of those rubber nuts that Kawasaki uses on the side part of the hood. I ordered enough to swap all of the hood nuts out. Part number is 92015-1757.

I just had to drill out the holes and stuff the rubber nut in place, and it works perfect!

So...the way you have got it is that after removing the center piece and with your additional (different) bolts you can slide the other sides up the roll bar....or do the side panels still remain fixed...? is that right? If so that's what I've been looking for!

Sides remain fixed (or can slide up the roll bar if nothing else is in the way).

For my Teryx, I have fixed doors that don't allow my hood to slide up the roll cage. I've got to remove the roll cage first - PITA!
