Puck board for a roof??

Has anyone made a roof out of puck board or flat plastic? How do you think it would work? It would be low profile like checker plate but should not rattle. I like the le roof but it is way to tall & kind of ugly. Thanks in Advance Crow

A little heat would let you bend it around curves.
Not sure how "pretty" it would be though.

It would be strong, maybe not a beauty. Krylon paint wont stick,I already tried it. might look better than a wrinkled chunk of checker plate aluminum after contact with a big branch. Just thinking...

I got the LE roof and im thinking about making a black puck board one. I want a lower roof and i also want to make it so i can put a full front windsheild on and a rear one for winter so a guy can make it so the rain and such dont come in when your riding. Once i get some time i think im gonna try to build something.

Ya i sure will. It might be a while as i havent had a day off in 7 weeks from work(not even weekends) and when i do get time im doing renovations too. I just dont get anytime to do anything, but i will let you know when i get some time ill try to get it done. It shouldnt take more than a few hours to get it formed. I might even get soe time today to get the puck board if they have it instock.

i like it when peole make their stuff as opposed to buying, but in this case you may also want to look at a Maier plastic roof.

Got it done. What do you think?
Only took a couple hours. Also chopped 4" out of the cage before I made the roof. Now sits about 8" lower all together as I had a LE roof on to start with. I think it looks much better now. Crow
