Im from Sudbury ,Ontario.I got the lexan from rezplast a local plastic fabrication company. They had a half sheet laying around and I took it off there hands. They would have charged me tripple if they would have cut a full sheet in half.I got the loop clamps 1 3/4 from an industrial nut and bolt supplier allong with the cap screws(allen head )washers and lock nuts.Put it on today and it looks and feels somuch better .I was so horny to put it on I forgot to bring my camera ...DOH.....Monday for pics I guess.

how wide is your lexan, i can get a lot better deal on a 48" peice but I really wanted it a little wider. My Rhino windshield was 50" wide. Also did you put a bend in it. i was told a 90 at the top would add a lot of strength.

I can also get a much better deal of 1/8" the 1/4" is over twice the price. The factory Rhino windshield was thicker. Any thoughts?

thanks

I bought a 48" by 56 "piece of 1/4 "lexan for 150$ with tax.They wanted over 500 $for
48"by 96"(full sheet).48 " fits perfect on top of the rollbars. This stuff is strong ..I took a piece that i cut off the bottom for the contour and bent it in half several times (with effort) and it didnt snap or show signs of fatigue.I made one full windshield(winter only) and ill have two 12" half windshiels for the spring/fall cause they will likely get sratched easier.

I didnt put a bend at the top cause I wanted it to fit under the factory roof.I suppose you could make it work .It would be stiffer? There is no vibration/movement at speed and it seems rigid enough for what I need it to do...man words cant describe how awsome this windshiel is.....I cant believe they are charging 130$ for half windshields an 250$ andup for full.Theyre going to be pissed at me when peaple find out how easy it is to make there own .lol

Looks good, did you add anything to make more rigid or was that unnecessary?

No need for bracing. At 40 mph it didnt move one bit.It still needs weatherstrip foam all around,Especially underneath ,so it doesnt scratch the hood up.I guess ill find out if it needs bracing once I hit the highway lol
