exhaust tip

Has anybody had trouble with the bolts falling out of their aftermarket exhaust tip?
If you have a solution to keeping them in, I would like to hear it. I tried using locktight, but they still fell out.
I got this one from Axia Alloys http://www.axiaalloys.com/assets/ima...billettip4.jpg[/IMG]

Hi
Try using Stainless split lock washers - did it on mine and no more bolts coming out. Good luck!

Take off the tip, I melted two of those Axia tips off my exhaust...I tried high temp locktite and split washers. The split washers held the ears of the tip and the middle body is somewhere on the Mogollon rim.

Axia was suppose to put some sort of thermal gasket (at least that is what Mike told me)...I've heard nothing and he sells the same tip.

Take your stock tip, cut off the screen and then reuse the Axia screen if you need a spark arrestor, otherwise just run with the tip removed.

I ALWAYS post this with the tip threads...I'M NOT RUNNING LEAN...I have an A/F gauge installed and run 13.2 WOT

I already lost the screen, but I should be able to find something around the house.

Lost 2 tips, the first I had a month or so, the last about 10 minutes. 2 bolts got stripped into the stock exhaust. had to run with no spark arrestor, luckily no rangers ever checked me.

so i just ordered a muzzy's.
