Camo Paint Fade???

I am looking at purchasing a Teryx in the Realtree paint. I am worried about the paint fading. A Polaris dealer told me he had a two year old Teryx come into the shape and the camo faded to a pink color. He showed me a couple Polaris in camo that did the same. You guys familiar with this issue?

Mine is vinyl from the factory not paint. Best advice is always store your toys inside or under cover. And it will last a long time.

mines a 08 camo with vinyl. Don't think any were painted. I don't think it is faded and no way is it pink. It is inside when not in use but gets used most all year except winter. I thought the camo would look the best in a few years cause it won't show noticeable scratches. That shinny plastic shows all the scratches & I am in the bush a lot when riding.

I agree, I don't think any of the Camo units are painted. It's a layer of vinyl veiner that is actually formed to the body panels.

The camo does hide a lot, both scratches and dirt.

The sun will fade any plastic surface over time. If you want it to last longer, keep it covered when not in use.

I've got a 2010 LE Camo, I believe it is Realtree APG.
I'm also pretty sure it is applied from the factory by a process called Hydrographics.

Hydrographics (printing)

I've seen it done on TV before & it looks like a pretty cool process.
