Heres a filter I'm going to try, its a Walmart Supertech ST7317, its a longer version of the ST6607. I've always been a fanatic about changing oil, about every 3 to 4 rides, I believe it is the cheapest insurance for your motor, anyways these filters are alittle over 2 bucks at Walmart, so it makes early oil changes alittle more economical.

oil filter

a cheap filter is exactly that, i have cut apart stp fram and wix filters, wix is definetly the leader, better filtration and canister quality. you may be changing your oil frquently but there is debris that cheaper filters are not getting.
i would use either a factory filter or wix.
thanks for replying

I did a little research on these filters and they dont seem to be that bad, as much as I change oil I thought that I would give them a try. I run royal purple in my truck and they say you can go 12,000 miles between changes with only filter changes, but I dont do that.
I'm sure that these filters are not on par with a wix or other brand of high-performance filter, and I'm not recommending them for everybody, I just stated that I change my oil often and I thought I would try these.
I just know that I have ran the living crap out of my 04 Prairie, and changed the oil on it more often than was needed, but I like tinkering with my stuff.
If someone is not into extra maintence, I would whole heartly recommend that they buy the best possible product, for me these just seemed like a thing to try.
