Eagle Plow Update!!

Just got off the phone with Eagle plows. They have redesigned the mount and have a guy testing it. I believe he is one of you guys on this forum.

Anyway, Eagle said the guy whose is bent told him he was hitting stuff and doing stuff it was not designed to do and that after it bent it didn't bend anymore and it really didn't affect plowing at all. I said, that is fine but it should not have bent.

Either way they hoepfully have a fix and when it fully tested they will make the next batch of mounts that way. As far as replacing the ones out there now has not been decided. They have not talked with the powers that be on it to decide how to deal with it.

I will have a picture soon of the new mount, unfortunately they have about 40 of the present style that will go out still.

Thanks,
Todd

Yeah I think thats me. They told me yesterday they were shipping me a new design and will test for them.

I will keep everyone posted. We got a big storm over the weekend. 18 inches of snow. I had to add 400 LBS to the bed and she had all she could do to move the drifts!

Now I need chains cause she wont steer with the weight in the bed! But without the weight it wouldnt push maybe chains and less weight will be a better combo!

Well im not Ben and I WAS NOT hitting things I shouldn't of been hitting, And my plate is bent. Exactly like the one that was posted. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I'm hoping they would give me a new plate for free, and Actually dont think they should be sending the remainder of them out to customers. Does anyone agree? After I noticed mine bent I began to realize that it wouldn't take much for it to bend. Just bouncing up and down through bumps was causing that area to flex. I was bouncing my plow a little, while it was in the air simulating me riding and hitting bumps while the plow is up. You could see it flexing.
Don't wanna jump the gun because they haven't decided to NOT give the new plate for free yet, but If I have to pay for a new plate, I would consider that pretty crappy. I'm sure there's NOT 100,000 Teryx's out there that have this plate and were the only 2 that have a problem, This is such a new machine and a new plow for it that hardley anyone has them yet. but im sure those extra 45 plates that go out are gonna have some others contacting them.

Give them a chance, I was amazed how quick they responded to me. They are making a new plate now, sending it to me and I will test. I am sure there will not be any charge. And yes I am Ben.

Send them an e-mail.

Yeah, let's give them the chance first. They have never disappointed me before and I have a little leverage with them due to the number of plows sell for them.

Also on the 40 they have. If five out of forty don't bend theirs and they have to replace those five for free then that is good for them.

Not sure which one of you bought your plow from Hunterworks but we will cover it most lilely if they don't.

Hey guys purchased a new teryx last saturday and got an eagle plow and mount put on it. I've used it only once and have just noticed that one of my bolts is completly loosened itself.
The mount has not bent yet but I'm sure it isnt long before it does. I tried retightening the bolt and had no luck either its stripped itself loose or the plate has bent slightly not letting me get to the threads. The dealer installed it so thats another mystery if they didnt tighten it enough but i doubt that. Going to have a better look tommorow and see if I can retighten somehow or get a new bolt for it.

Hey Todd,
I'm the one that bought the setup from you. Have been waiting on an update from American Manufacturing. Last they said they were gonna test one. Both sides are completely bent down on my plate now.

They have not starting making the plates at least as far as I know. Grizz can update us, he is the tester.
