Does 09 model have rev or speed limiter?

Does the 09 model have a speed or rev limiter? I have not gotten mine yet or seen one.

I don't know about a speed limiter. I know my rhino has a rev limiter which i would hit about 42 mph. I have never hit any limiter on my 09 teryx. it has been up to 53 mph with a little pedal left. Hope this helps some.

It does tell me it will run 53 but what is the maximum and is it held back by any kind of limiter?

Believe it is a Rev Limiter

Todd, I believe it is a Rev Limiter.

As for 53 mph I don't find that with mine. Usually the digital dash always seems to show fast. Stock mine would only run 51. Last night I finished the Dalton install and took it for a test drive. Was a little disappointed to find that on the digital dash I was topped out and hitting the Rev. Limiter at 53.

Send a message via AIM to mouser58
Put them in Low range and mash on it. You'll be able to check if it has a rev limiter and won't need a long stretch to run.

tseitel11 did you put in the dalton overdrive plate with your clutch kit? if so you will need more rpms to get the full effect of the overdrive plate. I have the same plate on my 08 teryx and with the stock cdi all it will do is 50mph..without the overdrive plate and just a dynatek cdi it will do 58-59 mph..with the dynatek box and overdrive plate installed she will do 65 mph but takes a good long straight to do it. Im impressed at how fast it gets to 55 mph though. Gonna get the hunterworks air intake jet kit next.
