Has anyon had an 08 and an 09?

I totaled my 08 a couple of weeks ago and I am trying to decide to go back with a leftover 08 or just get the 09 LE. Do any of you guys have any advice for me?

Are you serious?

Plain and simple, if you're gonna hop it up...stay with the 08'

You know it may realistically be another year or more before you can get the same power mods for a 09'.....well.....the power you are used to, anyway. (that is without spending another 5 to 6 grand)

If I had it to do over again, I personally would get the 09' and wait for the mods to come out...but that is me.

I say 09 for sure. EFI is great and all the other changes are worth having.

Depends if your buying back your old one or not. If you are its a no brainer, buy the 08, swap out motors and sell the new motor for $1500 to $2000, swap out all your other good stuff and sell the remaining. If you buy the wrecked one right, you should come out ahead as far as money and have a brand new kick azz machine. After having to ride my stock teryx this past weekend I would never get away from my FST 840 as my personal ride. I cant stand riding a stocker now.

Don't know if this makes it any easier, but I went with the '08 mainly due to the price difference and knowing what I could do with the money saved. If I would have purchased the '09 I wouldn't have been able to spend the $$$ on cdi, clutching, jet kit, HID's, Muzzy's & 840 kit , cage, rear seat with only 40 hrs on it. It's all in how you look at it. Did you buy back yours? Good luck with the decision.

I am supposed to hear back today. We will see how much he allows for the wreck and how much he wants for the salvage. Yes I know it is going to suck going back to stock after the STD Bore Kit. I wonder how long it will be before Mickey can make something for the FI motor?

Not waiting on the motor waiting on the ignition and fuel controller combo to handle the hop ups.

Yeah, I don't think the piston & cam kits will change. Your in a good spot if you can buy the old one at the right price. You could still buy a '09, ride it til the controller comes out then swap motors or topends from the '08, keeping the EFI & selling the carbs with the stocker. Just an idea.

That would be a good idea. I am sure it is only a matter of time. Waiting by my cell phone all day again today, hope they call.
