Clutch Kit!!!

Do you have to disconnect the engine brake fork when you are putting the dalton clutch kit in the New 09' models???? My dealer said that it says something about disableing the engine brake fork.

Thanks-

I don't have my 09 yet but apparently it has a speed and rev limiter in it so even though the overdrive drops the RPM the speed limiter won't let it go faster.

I think I have a fix for this but my dang dealer can't seem to get a 09 in.

Did you get only the clutch kit? The overdrive cap is a separate item that is not including with the clutch "kit" I would hate to assume that your dealer or mechanic installed something (overdrive plate) they know won't work at this current time.

Yes, they installed the Clutch kit and the Cap. They didn't know about the engine brake fork until I got a hold of Bob at PDS and asked him. They are a good dealership but they haven't done anything on the 09's. I know more about the upgrades and engine mods then they do. This is why I like the forum (you get to talk to the best of the best for mods)!!!

Thanks guys-

I pick up my 09 today Todd. They do have one base model and one monster energy here at MR Motorcycle, in NC. I would be happy to deliver it to GA for you after all the help you have been to me if you work a deal with MR. If you call, go straight to Brian the GM he is really nice and I only paid 600 more for my 09 LE out the door than I paid for my 08 out the door. They are ready to make some great deals right now.

I hope to have my Dalton Clutch and Plate installed by Saturday and I will let you know what the speedo and then a reality check with the GPS.

Show off.

JK Todd you got a great deal. I just wish you could get it so you could tell us the great mods on our 09s.
