Paddle Question

Okay i am about ready to jump in and pickup a set of paddles for the rear of my Teryx for this weekend. But, I am stuck. I am short on cash, so i am only going to do the rear and run the stockies up front. But, i dont want to buy paddles twice so i need some help.

My Teryx mods are:

Programmable CDI
Dalton Clutch Kit
Hunterworks Carb/TPI valve kit

What size wheel/tire should i run?

I hear 25x10x12 7 Paddle Extreme, 26x12x12 8 Paddle Extreme.

Wheel choices are 12x8 and 12x10.

Which ones are the best to run?

I ordered the 26x12x12 extremes with 9 paddles and 12x10" Douglas wheels. They are a little pricey, but with the weight of the Teryx I went with the wider wheels for more flotation. I hear Fullerton had 200 12x10" rims being made. I bought mine locally from Phils Cycle. $195 per tire and $100 per rim. Still waiting to come in.

08 Teryx Fundy Std Bore Kit, HMF Slip on Duals, Hunterworks carb kit and filter, CDI, 14" Bighorns with ITP 212 wheels, Renegade seats, 26x12x12 9 paddle Extremes and Douglas 10" Wheels, AMS Blacktail on stk Wheels, Radio, Mirror, Custom front bumper and 4 seat cage being built.

I'm thinking about going 25x10x12 7 paddle to get a little more out the turns and off the line I think that a nine paddle is way to much if you are running the extreams you need to spin them in the sand

the skat trak extreme hauler is just about the best paddle out there fro what I have heard in my opinion and the 25x10x12 7 will be better b/c the 8 paddle digs a little to much

I would suggest that you go with a 26x12x12 7 paddle extreme. You need to stick with 26" if you are running stock fronts. The 7 paddles will be better for your set up and best for top speed. I have heard the 8" rims are also better for top speed, probable keeping the tire taller and less drag. I went with the 10" rim and 9 paddle because Phil's Cycle called skat trak and asked them what the best set up was for a motor running 93 HP "as Dyno Ray says this kit will do." I did a lot of research as well. I also want to be quick out of the hole, I seldom run wide open. I am very interested to see how fast I can run when I get them in. I am running 54 on the sand with my Bighorns right now per the speedo.
