Talking Best Performance Mods for a 2009 Teryx

I just bought a 2009 Teryx Sport last saturday and already am planning on changing the exhaust, airbox and CDI. My Question is which one makes the most HP and looks the coolest. I like Muzzy's Dual exhaust, Muzzy's Digi tune and K&N filter, but am open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance
Jeff

At this point, those appear to be your only options. Without the fuel management units out yet, severe engine mods will not be something you can do quite yet.

Which is true, but right now, without fuel management he cannot do a big bore kit

Guess this is a hard topic to reply to ?, and this is just my opinion. If you aren't going to be changing elevations a lot...then "I" think the muzzys' will work on the 09.' Personally I think the "Fuel Injection" will compensate enough and properly for the exhaust. I probably am wrong..but my 2 cents. And by the way I don't know Jack...or his sister!
I don't think you have any other options, you can not change CDI for 09 at this current time (NO MATTER WHAT EBAY SELLERS SAY), you can add the fuel controller...but I don't know if you need to..for just exhaust change....even though I know there is no O2 sensor....still...from what I've heard...just the exhaust is working for some people. You definitely can not change the airbox....on fuel injection....I disagree. Now unless you are a computer programmer and remap the codes...only way I see it possible.

Some say the dalton clutch is working fine on their 09 also, which I can't see how...since you can't change the rev limiter in the CDI, but again...some say it's working for them.

Pass on the K&N and fuel controller and just get the Muzzy. Read our tech article about the 09 and Muzzy.

You can do BBK now and there is a fuel controller for it now, just no ignition.

Tee, the clutch kit works fine but the overdrive does not add due to a speed limiter but I think I have a fix for that.

Here is something to think about. When ATV Rider did the project with our 840 (XChamps car now) we got it back up here in PA from GA and found out they didn't jet it. They didn't put the VDI on it and they didn't open the air box. If you read about it they thought it was all that,in fact they said it was faster the the turbo razer they have in the next issue.

So can you put a pipe on a 09 with a big bore kit and be OK as long as you don't open up the air box? I don't know, but what I have always found on our GNCC racers is when we did bbk's and cams we dodn't change the jetting and most of the time we had to open the air box up or go down on the jetting. I here this all the time with our utility guys that they go down on the jetting because they keep the air box closed.

In no way am I saying you will get max power out of your BBK with out opening the air box and throwing more fuel to it but it is something to look at.

Right now I don't have the time or a 09 to try any of this, but if someone has a dyno they can run a 09 on and they want to try it I will make them a good deal on a kit.

Guys the problem with the overdrive clutch plate on the 09 is that there isnt a CDI available yet that will override the factory forward rev limiter. You need more RPM's than what is at the rev limiter for the overdrive plate to perform its task. Once a rev limiter is avail expect to see at least a 5-9 or possibly more top speed increase.
