Need help? Teryx or RZR S for sand???

I all first post but need some help..I torn between the Teryx Sport or the RZR S. It will be stictly for sand use and will stay a 2 seater. My dilema is the RZRs is close to 15k otd and the teryx is 11k otd here in Northern Ca. Would it be better to buy the Kawi and throw 4 grand at it and end up with a better machine. Because if i spend 15 on the RZRs i wont have any Mod money? Overall dune performance is the key here cause like i mentioned it will be a 100% sand UTV. I know this is a rzr forum but please try and be unbiased. Please help. I also posted on the other site.

This is actualy a teryx site and I personaly think the rex is a better it has a much better frame but I would replace the cage and trim as much weight as you can get better seats and harnesses and a cdi box to remove the govener

My thinking is that if your going to only use it in the sand, keep it a two seater, and you don't need anything (i.e. cooler, gas, whatever) in the bed, you may be happier w/ a rzr s, especially since the rzr s comes w/ long travel. IF you have the extra 5K just "lying" around you may want to check out the Redline Riot as well.

That being said, I use my Teryx in all sorts of environments (dunes included), it's taken a beating, it still runs great, and I am happy that I bought it over the Rzr.

This guide may help.

I have a Teryx Sport, but I live in Florida. (Not many sand Dunes). If I lived in Cali (Lots of Sand Dunes) I would have opted for the RZR S.

I would have to disagree!!!! I understand why everyone is saying the RZR S, but I have had nothing but royal HECK with all my Polaris'!!!!!! I grew up with Polaris and was true blue polaris type of person until I started paying for the toys and they didn't perform worth a crap!!!!!!!! Had to many issues. Don't get me wrong I think the RZR hit the spot but it is still a Polaris in my book.

NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE BY THIS COMMENT JUST MY OPINON!!!!!!! Kawi is a better engine too.

I own a Teryx, and only use it in the sand, about 80 to 100 days a season. And I enjoy the crap out of it. I left it a 2 seater, but enjoy the use of the bed. Few safety mods, and comfort mods.

We have all makes and models in our group. Including the rzr and the rzr s. If you truely are looking for a 2 seater for the sand only and dont care about a bed, etc.

Go with the rzr s. Its a great lil duner, stock.

And im not a monster fan of Polaris, but 2 seater, duner only, bang for the buck, go with rzr s.

I drove a rzr s in the dunes, other than the actual size, (I a big guy) it was a blast!

If I was going to get something strictly for sand and leave it generally stock, it would be a RZR S hands down.
