Roofs

What roofs are everybody using and how well do they hold up? I have a lot of tree rash on my cage already, so I want something that will take abuse from the woods and not be throwing money out the window.

Kawasaki also has a factory aluminum roof they offer.

Of course, as it was stated you always have the ability of going with a Factory Kawasaki plastic roof or a Maier.

Oh yah , a little trick I copied from 4x4 trucks with roofracks that run in the forests like here in PA. Get yourself one of those plastic covered cable dog leashes that you'll find in any pet dept store. Mine is 10ft long with factory loops on each end. Cut the clips off so all you have left is a cable with a loop on each end. Lay the cable over your rain gutter on the roof. Get 2 hose clamps and clamp them through the cable loops as far down your front rollcage bars as you can . Tree limbs will ride the cables up over the roof and not get wedged under it. So far it's worked out very well for me.

Yup, we used to do that from our front winch bumpers to our roof racks on our rock crawlers. There is a name for them...I just cannot think of it right now.

i have the LE roof soon to be replaced with Maier, inlaws have aluminum roof. both seem to work well, but the LE roof is kinda goofy with the way it rises in the rear.
