Green River and Moab UTAH!!!!

Finally, I was able to take some time off to see what the Ol' Teryx is made of. Well I do have some small concerns.

First off I think my belt stretched a little because when I go to start out it chatters and jumps. Also, I was in some real steep and narrow box canyons that required people to push and pull each the Utv's so we didn't tip over... well when we did that there is a couple of times that my belt protection kicked in and I lost all power in a tight situation. ARGHHHHH!!!

I also noticed that the thing doesn't want to turn very easy in loose dirt or sand. It reminds me of the old Corvette's with the Big Blocks that started to lose control and whatever direction they were going is where they ended up. Can I do anything for this????

Besides that I love the power however the Rzr S kicked my trash at the dunes. I can't do half what they do!!!!!!!

Sounds like its time to sell a few of those shiny rings and put a few $ into your Teryx to make you happy again. You can upgrade the Teryx and have less into it for less than a Rzr S showrom price. Have you adjusted your belt yet?

I've gotten way more into my Teryx than what a RZR S costs. I have clutch kit, tires and wheels, 4 seat PDS cage, Twisted stitch seats, remote warn winch, and other things. Yes, I do need to sell some more of those little Shiny things so I can get more, but there really isn't any Engine Mods for the 09 FI!!!!

Thanks

No, I have not adjusted my belt. My dealer said that I have to have shims to adjust it. Is that right???????? And I don't have the special tool to pull the sheave.

we just put a muzzys dual exhaust AFE intake Kit for the 09 and the Muzzys digitune fuel controller with the Dalton Clutch on a couple of our 09s and it really woke them up, it helps out quite a bit. A lot More get up and GO!

From watching the Hunter Works clutch videos the shims are already in the clutch, a fat one and a thin one and you take one or both of them out to make the belt tighter. For that job you would need both the puller and the compressor tool.

You usually take a shim out, but you do need a puller and a way to compress the back clutch.

Nice ride. I always like the deep dish 112 rims.

Who built your cage? SRD? Looks well built. Is there a passenger hand hold bar?
What seats are you using?

I assume you are but I'm going to ask. Are you running this technical stuff in low gear? Under 20mph sections put it in low and the belt will last longer and preform better. I am also a believer in clutch kits for the CVT system too. Good time to put one in if you have to adjust the belt anyways.

Yes, I use LOW gear and I have a clutch kit!!!! My cage was built by PDS which use to be partners with the guy that now owns SDR.
