High Water Crossings

You have all probably noticed the large approx. 4" diameter pipe that exits the tranny, which actually expels excess heat from the transmission.

Now here is my question, high water crossings could in fact block that port, therefore, I am curious if that could cause any heat related issues with the transmission?

Rode for a few hours this weekend and alot of it was in water and mud that was around 2 to 3 feet deep and had no problems so I think we are OK

That seems to be the consensus. A lot of people are mudding and crossing deep water and they do not appear to be having any issues.

I have not been in any water but this past weekend both of my cousins were in water almost to the bottom of the dash. Both machines did very well and they played quite a while. I agree that is seems we are going to be ok.

Too much is neverenough

That is a hard one to answer. I have known some that have had no issues, and other that have experienced problems with their CDI.

If you are worried, find some di-electric grease and do all of your connections under the seat and in the back.
