Smile Help me if you can

hi, i'm a newbie. My name is Sandra. Just wanted to say hi and ask if any of you guys could help me. My husband and I just bought a 2009 Kawasaki Teryx 750 the lime green machine. It runs great and everything but when you go down a hill and let off the gas pedal it starts making a clanking sound like it's trying to jump back and forth in gears. please help if you can, thanks

Hi there, nice to have you with us...are you sure you are just not feeling the engine braking?

Its a little hard to diagnose over the net, but I would be tempted to say it is the engine braking. If you are concerned about it, may not be a bad idea to go back to the dealer.

Let me ask you...what happens if you get up to cruising speed and then let off the gas and just coast?

It does alright then. We have spoken to the dealer and we told him we would bring it in if it kept doing it. It's pretty loud and annoying. thanks again sandra

How fast down hill? It may be KEBC kicking in and out if the speed is around 5mph.

mine does the same thing. it is the braking system, im not worried about it except the clanking noise it makes going down hills gets very old really fast!!! if it wasnt so useful i would get rid of it.
