Buying Used 08

Looking at buying a used 08 with 39Hrs showing on the meter, with winch, CDI, exhaust, and few other mods. What should I be aware of buying used, and any suggestions on things to check out, and techniques to check them out. Thanks

Check for the overall cleanliness, then check the belt and see if he has any of the reciepts for the oil and filters, you will be able to tell if it was taken care of. But as you know buying used is never a guarantee

It's only got 40 hours on it, so unless whatever's wrong is "obvious" you probably won't notice it. I agree that you should make a point of taking it for a "real world" test drive at a local ride spot. That is pretty much the only way you'll get to test the "trans, diff's etc..." without tearing the whole machine apart.

If you do decide to buy it, I would suggest re-doing the 20 hour maintenance yourself, just to be sure it was done and done properly - a dealer receipt is no guarantee, as many members on here will attest to.
