Engine running hot, fan not working

Can someone help me with this fan problem. Went out for a quick ride, got that temp sensor light on the dash came on and I noticed the fan wasn't working. Came home, radiator is full, plug to fan seems good, fuses okay. Manual says to reset the fan switch? Cant find unless I'm blind and it says push the button? What button?

Should be a button on the relay. I believe it is on the outside of your electrical box under the seat. The fan relay. I am going off of memory but I think it is a small green button. Call me if you need me to go look at mine. 928-713-8716 thanks Casey

We have had that problem with the fan not working on a couple of our customer's teryx straight from the factory, and it over heating. It was usually the fan not plugged in. But if the fan is plugged in and the radiator is full i would say try the reset button too.

I had mine replaced under warranty early on in my Teryx's life lol. I was on a 50 mile ride and it would pop the breaker about every 4 miles it was a long day.

I looked at the manual and found where the reset button is, wasn’t popped out and the fan was plugged in, took it back to the dealer on Friday and was told that there is a sensor somewhere on the engine block. Service manager wasn’t sure where it was and why the fan wouldn’t turn on. Should be interesting to hear what they say since I only have a week left on factory warranty, thanks guys for all your input....keep ya posted...

The dealer said that the fan had a smoke fan motor. Still couldnt tell why it was shot other than trying to blame me for misuse. Go figure.

mine did the same thing this weekend and the relay was buzzing while no fan running and overheating, the breaker was not popped, we disconnected the breaker and put those 2 wires together and had no more problems all weekend. thinking i might just have a breaker problem? the relay stopped buzzing also, we also checked the relay by switching it with another one and that one started buzzing too.

We have two teryx's and only one has had the issue with the fan. The connectors for the circuit breaker are cheaply made and break loose inside. Easiest fix we have found is a 30amp fuse wired inline. In a pinch in the woods, you can just plug the fuse into the two terminals off the breaker (there is a spare 30amp fuse in the fuse box). We wired in a waterproof fuse holder and haven't had any issues with the fan shutting off since. I think every teryx we ride with has been done except mine, and I am just waiting for it to happen...

I see you are in the Woodlands area, where are you taking yours for service? If you're going to Pro Powersports, I can tell you that they are ABSOLUTE IDIOTS and I will never put any of our machines back in there. We took our in for the fan and overheating issue and they claimed to have changed the breaker and the invoice even showed it was replaced under warranty, funny thing is, why would they put the same old dirty as crap breaker back in??? Especially after billing Kawi for doing the work and for the part....

Hit me up if you ever need someone to ride with being we're neighbors and all!

I know this is an old thread but I ran into same problem, got rid of the reset with a inline fuse, next time(last week) found the relay under the seat had failed. Had another one for the fuel pump fail last year so now carry a spare one. Relays left to right looking forward are Fuel pump, Engine fan, Start Neutral, Start brake pedal. Can be checked with meter should have 0 ohms between 2 posts and 39 ohms on the other. Hope this helps someone.
