Totalled my Teryx out....gross pics inside

Yep...just got home from the E.R....... hit a covert at 45 Mph.....rip my knee apart...Broke thumb....Jaw dislocated. Had a hole in my knee the size of a small fist.

Seatbelt saved my life today....hit it and it was a dead stop at 45. Roll cage and front frame is crushed.

My jaw hit the steering wheel and my head was inches from contacting the concrete covert.

I had insurance so replacing it is no concern. It felt good hugging my two sons this morning too ! No broken bones and it just got the skin on my knee as it passed through the dash. Pushed the dash, steering wheel and front left tire back toawards me about 8 inches . I had about 350-400 PBS of gear in the back too.

I wandered onto the shoulder of the road while looking behind me at a jacket that had just blown out of the bed onto the road . Rode the ditch out for 20-30 feet. Tryin to get it settled down and as soon as I got it halfway stable the concrete covert showed up. Had just started to hit the brakes when I hit. My left foot pushed right through the floorboard from the pressure of impact

The good lord was with me that day guys.....I had a little voice remind me to put on the seatbelt about 30seconds before it happened. I'm a blessed man, and can say the Teryx is built pretty safe.

Here are the pics....the frame is bent in the middle in a "U" shape, and where the front drivers lower A-arm connects...its bent in like crazy too. You can really tell when you see the pic of my wife in the drivers seat.

I was one heck of a ride for sure......dead stop from 40mph into a concrete covert....Seat belts fellas ! Even when you are not riding hard ! I was just cruising down a county road.....not even to the trails yet.

Tire touching the fender...

Little blood from my knee...

More blood, and where I cracked the floorboard with my foot...

Front pic showing the rollbar and where I hit the upper part of the covert...

Where my knee busted through the dash....

Side veiw looking at how far the dash and steering wheel are pushed back...

Another veiw of the rollbar, My elbow and left arm hit the bar on impact...

Glad you are okay and that the Teryx soaked up alot of the hit... I wonder if these things go through crash testing??? Besides what we do with them. Hope you recover soon.
