Oil Pressure or oil temp??

So i sometimes need to break up the long hours in the office and will often design and/or do research. So i pose the following question:

what would be considered more useful, to know your oil pressure or oil temp? I am inclined to say temp but i want to see majority says.
Thanks

Did not even think of it that way. Good idea ...... maybe temp to make sure the temps are inline and where they should be. Then once that is under control switch it to pressure gauge.

Here's my reasoning. When new, engine runs hotter and some new Teryxs have fan problems. (due to loose connections, etc),so oil "temp" gauge. Once they are broke in, Oil "pressure" to watch for wear or problems from wear.

I would go for oil pressure over temp myself. I would think that if the oil is getting really hot so is your engine temp and hopefully the light will come on. I am just thinking of automotive where they don't seem to car about engine oil temp, just pressure, but what do I know, I just fix the damn things! There is very few cars/trucks with oil temp sensors. I know guys run oil temp sensors and pressure sensors in jet boats where the engine is set at one rpm setting and then cruise but I couldn't tell you why? Will have to ask.

well i am looking at the pressure gauge. i am piecing this together as a full out oil cooler system with a gauge and some sort of pod. I just need to finish about a dozen other designs and then i can go for this....haha
