New guy with a problem

Just picked up my 2008, I have 6 hours on it. Just whent out to start it and it will not turn over. The fuses and breaker are fine, tried to jump start it and no change. The lights come on with no problem. I hear a solid tone and something turning after I shut it off. I'm guessing its not a big deal that I am just missing something simple.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Just got to start checking voltage, see if you are getting it at the starter when in start position then work backward to solenoid etc.

Adjust your brake switch one and then look at your neutral switch for cranking in neutral.

IF you leave it in gear you can start it by holding the brake. Switch or linkage should fix it, probably linkage.

Work the shifter a little bit on both sides of the N position and see if you can get it to start. This will give you a good idea of which way it needs to be adjusted.
