Bighorn or Bighorn 2.0?

Hey there, newb here. Just ordered up my '09 Teryx, should be here by the end of the week. Can't wait!

Need some suggestions on tires for the Teryx... I have Bighorns on my Kawi Brute Force 750, and love them - they are perfect for all the different terrain I ride. Trails, Rocks, Mud, Snow, etc... I'm considering the 2.0's for the new Teryx. Any thoughts??

Are the 2.0's tough enough for the additional weight of a SxS and my 300 lb body plus a passenger?? Anyone out there have them? Love em? Hate em? Suggestions?

Also looking at LT suspensions... 3+? 4+? I do some trail riding, so don't want to get too wide.

- Ryan

I have been racing the 2.0 for nearly a year in cross country racing and love them. No flats yet!!

I highly recommend them for the UTV since they were made for a UTV.

Lighter tire is always better for performance on a UTV

Cool, thanks. I was leaning towards those after reading about some puncture issues with the ITP Terra Cross tires.

I have the 2.0's on my teryx and love the performance of them over my old regular big horns i ran on a brute force. The orginals are very heavy, the 2.0's are only a few lbs. heavier than the stockers. The traction is better also. My only fault is they are NOT as tough as the regular ones. I have two slices in less than 300 miles. My old orginal bighorns were tough as nails, I even split a beadlock wheel and the tire was fine. I quess u cant have everything!

I was saying the Terracrosses are too heavy.

Hopefully X-Champs experience is a isolated issue.

Ive had Mud Lite XTs, Big Horns, Terra Flats and Big Horn 2.0.
the terra cross had great traction but awful reliability.
Big Horns are too heavy and so far the 2.0s have been pretty good. I was hoping for a little better traction

When you guys are saying too heavy what exactly are you refering to. Physical weight like OMG what a pain in the a$$ to mount heavy or does it have more to do with rotating mass and race applications too heavy??

So, what do you guys think about the Baja Cross for us non-racers?
