Talking Long travel or big bore kit?

I've never ridden in a teryx with long travel or an 840 kit. For those of you who have. Whats more impressive? POWER OR SUSPENSION? What will give you and your passengers a bigger grin on your faces? That holy sh_t this is amazing feeling. If you had to do one or the other, which would you do? Lately I've been thinking of doing an 840 kit instead of long travel . Whats more impressive, flying thru the whoops or pulling away from stockers with long travel on hills and straights. Does the 840 kit give you the wow factor like long travel does? I do Ocotillo and some dunes. Who's going to get from point A to point B thru the dunes quicker an 840 or long travel? I think long travel is faster point A to point B on hard pack like Ocotillo, but would an 840 make up for less suspension? Who knows the answer, I want passengers to get out of my teryx and say wow thats amazing! But I can only afford one or the other. So what do you think?

I'd recommend long travel first, then a MCX-USA Turbo kit, honestly.

I would definately recommend suspension first and then 840 later.

The 840 will help to climb the dunes but you still have to slow down to hit anything but smooth sand. If you do the suspension then your good to go and can hit some rough areas with out slowing. It better to have a better handling car than to have power that you can't keep on the ground.

just my .02.

i've never rode in a rex with long travel but i can tell you the 840 is a lot of fun so far. i guess it depends on what your doin. the trails i ride can get very tight at times and i dont think long travel will will work all to well for me but i did upgrade to 09 sport shocks front and rear and i can let you know what i think of these once i get the installed

Get the power first and then that will motivate you to upgrade the suspension.

The 840 is fun regardless of the suspension... Sure the suspension would put better use to it but the grin won't leave your face even if you have to slow down and then get back in... This is mainly trails though as there aren't any sand dunes around here.

MOTOR!!! I have one with an 840 and elkas on standard a-arms, and i have another teryx with a stock motor and suspension. I cant stand to drive my stocker, not near enough power. It has a 4 seat cage and heavy tires and wheels so that doesnt help at all, but I couldnt imagine having any fun with my stocker with long travel out in the sand. Now my 840 would be a blast in the dunes!! Do the 840 and maybe just upgrade to better shocks for now!! Im from the east coast, so no dune experience here either, but a stock car has to be a pig in the sand!!

Treat these just like a quad...suspension first THEN upgrade the motor...
