Exhaust tips

I was messing around on ebay and see that they have exhaust tip on there and claim they make more power. Are these tips for real or are they just for bling?

Bling.

Power is from removing the exhaust tip (almost as much as a slip on). People have been know to burn thru the Alum. ones (I haven't seen it) but you can get steel. Often sell for around $40

Melted two aluminum tips off mine (and no I wasn't running lean)...just remove your stock tip, cut off the spark screen, replace tip...done and free!

Forest service doesn't like seeing an open exhaust, plus they think the spark arrestor is still there.

I didn't think about that but we don't have to deal with the forest service here.

Do you need a EFI programmer to richen it up a little after you do that?
