h0tr0d's Garage

Well I have been doing some mods to the Teryx lately and I will be documenting it all here. I have completed my Roof, windshield, rear window and hope to have the cab enclosure finished up with some soft doors etc this week. I have also built my front and skid plate. Next will be some solid a$$ rock sliders and a rear bumper setup. When winter is over I will remove the stock cage / window / roof setup and install the cage I will be building soon. The new cage will be lowered and have a few other goodies aswell. I will be building my own cab heater for the Teryx if I get enough time.

I am looking at widening the stance of the Teryx and possibly a doing LT setup. Then come the tires and rims combo, that ofcourse I can't build lol.

So let me know what you guys think!!!

Looks good.

Are you going to put something to give air flow to the rad in summer?

I figured that would be the first question lol. Yeah I will be getting another skid plate cut out on the waterjet table by spring. I'm still at the drawing board on exactly what I am going to do there.

I should have the sliders completed this weekend hopefully.

Nice work,I like that front bumper. Did you make a skid plate on the bottom or just the one on the bumper? Just wondering as mine is in the shop now do do a few more mods & I am thinking on how to do a full length skid. Kind of stuck on how to do it.

I think if you really got into it it would be a snap. I'd use some UHMW, you can buy it in large sheets, big enough to do the whole underside in one go. It cuts nice with a skill saw and drill out very easy asell. I just haven't got to mine yet.

Thanks for the input!!

I have a sheet of 1/4" black puckboard sitting here. I want to heat and curve it from the winch all the way to the back. Also I want to bend it up just in front of the floor boards as I got a couple of sticks jammed into the space between the factory belly pan & floor board. The belly pan needs to be smooth as the main thing that stops me were I ride seems to be stumps. Still in the planning stage. Also I am going to make some rock rails too.

Hey!! didn't notice you were a fellow Albertan!! Do you think that 1/4" puckboard is going to be thinck enough?? I think with the weight of these things and some of the rocks around cold (here anyway) it would crack. I think I would go thicker. I am pretty sure the stock skid is 1/4", you should be able to use it as a template to make the new one.

FYI, UHMW is more flexible under stress and will not crack in the cold.
