Whats the best way to clean a muddy radiator after the mud has baked in?

I sprayed out my radiator with a hose after mud bogging 2 weeks ago and this weekend my temp light came on. I shut it down immediately and let it cool down, but I looked and there's still alot of mud stuck between the fins of my radiator. Now the mud is totally baked into the radiator fins. Whats the best way to clean it without removing the radiator from the vehicle? Is there something I can spray on it like simple green to loosen it up? Or should I just spray the heck out of it with a hose? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but someone has to know an easier way to do this.

There ain't no good way in the vehicle but don't pressure wash it you will bend the fins.

Just suck it up and take it out and do it.

I pressure wash mine all the time.Take off the screen in front. Hold the stream of water so it hits the rad fins straight & about 12" away.Get it good & wet. Let it sit for a while to turn baked mud back into loose mud. Then repeat until you can see through every were. Don't be in a big hurry or you will screw up your rad. Garden hose does nothing to the rad but make the front look clean.

ditto, except i use the acid stuff, radiator will look like brand new, gets every last drop of mud out in between the fins, you just have to dilute the acid type with water.
Also work good for cleaning mud stained motors too.

It only takes 1 mud hole per ride, were I ride there is not always a way around, only straight through. So we usually get muddy. Crow
