water impellar

Got my new water pump. What is the best way to remove the seal out of the stock impellar without damaging. Where can i see a install video????

just smack it on block of wood flat a couple of times mine poped right out

Well i used a prick tool and got it out. By the way what is that seal for? Looks like it just seals off the area where the shaft comes from.

It seals against the mechanical seal, leave it out and water will flow out the water pump drain. The mechanical seal seals the oil on other side of that seal.
