Wheel Spacer Question

I want to install wheel spacers on my 09 Teryx Sport. I know a long travel kit is definately a better way to go, but my finances (wife ) wont allow it.

I did a search and could not find a difinitive answer. I want to go as wide as possible without sacriificing saftey. I saw 3" spacers on ebay. I was thinking of running 3" spacers in the back and 2" or 2.5" in the front. I mainly ride on hard pack trials that are wide enough for this width. I dont jump and only on occassion ride in the mud. My question is this too wide?

Thanks in advance AXO.

We run and have been doing 2 inch spacers since the 08 model year and is part of our standard package we offer to all of customers without any issues, anything wide then that I don't recommend it.

As a side note we are going to have a nice set of progressive springs out real soon just finishing up the testing and pricing. We just got back from Utah testing them at the track and the trails and what a difference on a stock machine.

We call it out poor man long travel kit...

I agree I would never go wider than 2", it will start to affect your stering geometry, I run 1 1/2" all the way around, also some people are running wheels with more negative off set to gain the width basically does the same thing, if you want to go any wider than that better start saving your money for long travel.

I havent measured but the width between the front tires seem narrower than the width betwen the rear tires. I was thinking about just putting spacers on the front to make it even

You want the rear to be wider then the front. It will track better in the sand and mud.
