Teryx for family subdivision hauler?

Hello All,
I currently own a couple of Grizzly 660's and a Kodiak 450 but I've sorta been bitten by the UTV bug after seeing a couple while out and about Trick or Treating with the kids. We currently use the ATV's primarily for riding around or subdivision and on occasion we will take them out for some trail riding and mudding.

What I was thinking about doing was selling a couple of the ATV's in favor of a Teryx, but this would only make sense if I were to convert this machine to a 4-seater. From the searches that I've done, it appears that there are a handful of manufacturers who make conversion kits, but they are going to be around $1500 for that piece.

My biggest concern is how capable will the machine be in stock form when carrying 2 adults and about 225lbs worth of kids in the back? I doubt I would take us all out for some trail riding in it, but for whatever reason, it would bug me to death if I knew the machine was not capable of this. So, if I were to go with the 4-seater conversion route, would you recommend performance upgrades to match and if so, what would that be? Seems as though I'm looking at about $9K for the machine plus another $1500 for the 4-seat conversion so somewhere around $11K just for starters. Is this machine really capable of doing it all?

Keep an eye out on the forums for a built 4 seater. They do appear with low hours and lots of upgrades at both good and not so good prices.
If anything you may need heavy duty springs in the back.

There are ways to drop lbs such as the heavier duty sandjunkie bed delete kit which saves you about 60 lbs vs the stock bed. I have had much more weight in the back with mine and no issues.

The Teryx motor has enough torque to deal quite well with the additional weight. I see tons (including myself) of 4-seater Teryxs ripping up the dunes. If it has enough power in the sand ... it will perform anywhere. I think it's safe to say that the $1500 4-seat conversion cost you mentioned is about right if you buy new. Like stated above, there are used deals to be had out there as well. That way someone else loses the investment.
