motoalliance plow

Pulled the trigger on the moto 72". Got to say, was impressed with Pete helping me out from the go. Customer service is awesome. Got it installed by myself in an hour or so. Had a little shipping mishap, but Pete hooked me up with an email I sent.. He replied to me around midnight eastern time. Again, impressive.
Well, I plow about a 250" driveway with a good incline. So far, the plow works flawlessly. Easy to adjust, both angle and skids, and moves snow great. Only plowed a few times thus far but I clean the driveway out twice as fast, and much cleaner than my honda rubicon did with a warn 54" plow.
Only adjustment I like to see is the breakaway springs be a little heavier.
For what its worth, this plow is worth the investment and Pete at Motoalliance is a class act to deal with.

i purchased the same plow from pete, and it has worked perfect so far this year.. about the springs being to loose, i went to the hardware store and purchased shorter eye bolts to put more pressure on the springs!

Thanks for the feedback....really helpful and good to hear. We did shorten the eyebolts by 3/4" to increase tension.

As an update, here is some great feedback I received on New Year's Eve:

Peter, We had a very bad snow storm on Wednesday. Ten plus inches of blowing snow. I plow 1200 feet of road on a hill plus substantial parking areas. It requires real equipment not some look like a plow toy. The Teryx, the MotoAlliance plow with the new improvements and the Elite Winch provided awesome performance. I can't recall his name, but the man that designed the plow deserves a pat on the back for a job well done.

Another guy from Spokane wrote in a few weeks ago saying his wife came outside to join him in his Ranger cab just to watch the plow in action she was so impressed. She used to laugh as he struggled with his tractor and blade plowing snow. Not so with the new system.

NEED SOME VIDEO FROM SOMEONE STILL! Here's the way it'll work. You guys get a system for the $749.99 (including shipping). We will credit you back $100 for really high quality video, but it has to be good, not some grainy Sasquatch video. I'm willing to do this for as many riders as want to do this for the rest of the snow season.....we want a video portfolio.....

Okay, so now with the primary design established and matching our high expectations for function, our plow plan for 2011 is as follows:

1. Expand entire plow series and name them the "Moto-Storm" plow series. Will have 60", 66", and 72" county style. Plow expert has some innovative ideas for 54"-72" straight blades and we will have these as well. All of them will continue to be built with a "cut no corners" philosophy.

2. Accessories and modifications will include:
-track system compatibility;
-Side shields, flags -- all the general accessory stuff.
-Electric turning device.
-ELITE winch kitted specifically for plow use.
-Plus whatever else emerges in our conversations and useful ideas.

Thanks for all the input and feedback from this board. Perhaps it's a bit vain, but I am proud to send them out the door each day.....our guys in the shop drool over them. Seriously, if someone is going to drop a grand on our plow/winch combo, it dang well better be good. The feedback from New Year's Eve made my year at Moto.

Happy New Year everyone. Will post later today the other products on the way for 2011.

That plow looks and mounts a LOT like my American Eagle Brand. I like the fact that it is shaped more like the big size DOT blades. Here is some raw video off a POV.1 using the AE brand. I have a bit of a steep driveway myself. Good luck finding some good driveway scraping vids Moto.

Thank you SRX. I wish I had bought the MotoAlliance Plow as you can see the shape and the flap would help me along with the width. My drive is steep enough to where I would love to only have to plow down two times not three.

Can't wait to checkout the video.

I now have video of the Can-Am Commander 1000 XT and Can-Am plow on my youtube site. As you can see, I still have the snow blowing over the top of the blade but the Can-Am blade is about 9 inches taller than the American Eagle so it is not nearly as bad. I still like the shape of the MotoAliance blade and having the flap. If I keep my Teryx I will be getting one.
