Exclamation Help! Tire and wheel problem

Has anyone had an issue with ITP wheel and tire combo?

Explanation: I purchased ITP SS108 black wheels and ITP mudlite XL tires 27x10x12 Front and 27x12x12 rear.

The issue is that the front tires are rubbing the tie rod ends. Putting a gouge in the inner side wall.

I know what the obvious answer is...buy wheel spacers.

I tried 1.5" spacers and now i cannot get the Teryx and my son's KFX 90 in the Toyhauler together.

Does anybody make a .5" spacer, I just need to get the side wall off the tie rod. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I just found out something different on wheels for the Teryx. The ones for a mule 610 will fit but they are the wrong wheel.

You might just have the wrong wheel on the front.

Thanks, I am going double check with the Kawasaki dealer that sold them to me.

I just tried to call your shop but got a recording. The 1.5" spacers I ordered were from ya'll and I need to find out what your procedure is for returning them for a refund. It would have been nice if they would have worked because they looked sweeeet on the Teryx.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I have the itp T-7 beadlocks and have no problems at all. What about having a machine shop mill the spacers to 1 inch or .5. Shouldn't cost that much Just an idea not sure if it will work or not.

Hmmm what about putting the 90 in the back of the Teryx? Or standing it up on end? I did that when my kid had an LT80 - Worked great

Talked to 2 other kawasaki accesssory retailers about .5 & 1" spacers and was told that the .5 & 1" wouldn't hold up to the stress. the local machine shop said about the same thing. Not sure if I agree with them.

I have the spacers off and I put 2 12mm washers on each stud which gives 3/16 of an inch clearance now. it seemed to work/ride fine.

That would work but I have a full roll cage and will be installing the corbeau back seat when it gets here. Thanks though I appreciate the suggestion.

Update: based on what Hunterworks said I called the dealer where I bought the Teryx and explained what was going on and I suggested that the two front wheels were the wrong ones. They said the would look into it.

Called ITP, they suggested checking pressure in each tire. They said that for a Teryx I should be running 12-15 lbs up front. tried it and it didn't make much of a difference. They said that there should not be any clearance issues that they are aware of.

On my wheels I am running 5 lbs of air. I have not had a problem but I don't remember my backspacing etiher. I don't get the whole thing about not holding up to the stress. I run a 1 1/2 spacer on my 1 ton dually it is just that a spacer seems kind of odd to me.

If for some reason you cannot get the proper wheel spacer, sell your wheels, and buy the proper offset rim. I got the same wheels, and you can get them I believe from 1/4 to almost 1" offset.
