dust question

ok on last weeks ride I noticed ridin about 30 mph on a dirt road dust was rushing up like a tornado from under the bed around the middle console air box and was a pain in the ass. i thought the 2010's was fixed with the flaps under the bed but I was getting dust in my cold beverage. any ideas how to stop it?

Try putting your cold bevarage in a sippi cup. haha On serious point I built a dust flap for my 08 out of thin rubber like an innertube and it works great. Maybe kawi didnt make it long enough in certain places? Also if you have a windshield it seems to increase the dust problem.

If you have the stock 1/4 windshield, remove it, this will eliminate all dust issues at cruising speeds.

It might sound strange, but I have a 2010 LE with a half window, and I don't think the dust is too bad. I do a lot of gravel road riding, and the dust is super thick when it's dry, but it doesn't seem to bad in the cab.

Mudcon it is the same with my 2010 LE, what I did is add a piece of plastic (mud flap) behind each seat just under where the cargo box hook is. approx
3" x 18",this plug the major part of that space you see when you look down behind the seat and the cargo box. and those help.
When I have chance I will take some pics and show you if you want, but for now they are calling for 20 cm of snow.
