Exclamation bad news need help!!!

ok I got stuff from Todd and put on a clutch OD plate and belt. well I put everything back on but it don't want to go in gear right away and it seems to smoke some like the belt but no light comes on could someone plz tell me where I screwed up

Providing that you installed everyting back correctly, I'm going to guess that the belt is to tight. Check the belt deflection and make sure it is adjusted properly. Did you install a factory belt or different brand, I'm guessing factory if you got it from Todd cause he should know better than to use a aftermarket belt.

no I got the one he sells the heavy duty one. and what would be the best way to check the belt? I know I got the stuff the way it was

Just the opposite, I ONLY sell the EPI severe duty and we have no issues with them

Does sound like the belt is too tight or a installation error somewhere.

He called me on my cell this AM and we got it figured out. Nothing wrong at all actually. He was not used to the clutch kit with the little bit of stall it has and the smoke was from something that got sprayed on the exhaust, when it started burning off the CVT vent was blowing air out and it caught the smoke so it looked like it was coming out of the CVT vent.

I said, WHEW!! We never have issues with these so this caught me off guard.
