Discussion Topic For Dynatek Ignition Module

Dynatek has been kind enough to supply us with their programmable ignition module for use on our Teryx build.

We are very excited to be working with them and are anxious to get the production model of the ignition module installed on the machine.

You can check out the Dynatek website at:

Dynatek High Performance Electronics

Installation will be featured on the TeryxHQ Teryx build page while discussions will take place in this thread. If you have questions, comments, etc. please feel free to post them in this thread.

Below is the build page for the Dynatek ignition module:

I just ordered one and can not wait to install it this weekend. I read somewhere it only gives 3 to 4hp but gets rid of all the limiters. I am mainly looking for bottom end power for mud. Anybody knows if you can adjust the timing curves for more bottom end???

Hi there, you will find that the Dynatek CDI will be a welcomed addition to your machine.

As far as being able to program the timing curves, it really depends on which one you purchased.

Did you get what they call the 'rev box' or did you get the programmable CDI? If you purchased the programmable, did you also purchase the patch cables and software?

If you look at this build page, it will give you the differences between the two units:

I purchased the programmable cdi with the Hunterworks timing curve. I have not yet purchased the computer cables yet because I need to research the timing curves a little more before I start programming.

Then to answer your question...yes you will be able to change the curves, however, you will need to get the program kit when you are ready. That will include the patch cables and software.

I almost hate to ask but has anyone "played" with these curves to see any possible performance gains at the bottom end???
